Kate Smith
Senior Solicitor, LLB, BA, BBS, Grad Dip PLT
Kate was born in Ipswich and raised in the Lockyer Valley. In 2005, she completed a Bachelor of Behavioural Science at the University of Queensland in Ipswich majoring in youth and criminology before working for ten years with the Department of Communities, Child Safety Services in Brisbane.
Kate returned to university completing a dual degree of Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts graduating with Distinction. While being employed in the Fraser Coast, predominantly in conveyancing, she completed Practical Legal Training with the Queensland University of Technology in 2020 graduating with Distinction.
Kate practices predominantly in family law litigation and deals with complex cases. Kate is a dedicated practitioner who achieves excellent results for her clients in the most difficult of circumstances.
