Layla Baran
Solicitor, LLB
Layla was born in Brisbane, with her family relocating to Gladstone for her high school years with Gladstone State High School. She was awarded the top student in her cohort for Legal Studies.
Layla has worked at Byrne Lawyers since 2022, impressively working full time while studying a Bachelor of Laws with Central Queensland University on a full-time basis.
Throughout her employment, Layla gained extensive experience across multiple practice areas including wills, criminal law and domestic violence law, conveyancing and family law. Ultimately she found her particular passion as a Senior Family Law Litigation Paralegal.
Layla has been admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland and entered into the High Court Register of Practitioners.
Layla predominantly practises in Family Law and General Law, including regular court appearances in minor civil debt disputes.
Outside of her professional life, Layla enjoys spending time with her two-year-old blue staffy, Macey. When not chasing after Macey, she enjoys reading and taking time to unwind.
