Lucy Hancock

Lucy was born and raised in Newcastle, New South Wales where her passion for law began in her legal studies class at West Wallsend High School. She moved to Central Queensland in 2013 and began a double degree, Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts at Central Queensland University as an external student through the Rockhampton campus. She spent 15 months travelling Europe and working in the UK while finishing her degrees.
Lucy completed her Diploma of Legal Practice through the College of Law in 2019 and is working towards a Masters of Applied Law in Family Law. She volunteered at the Central Queensland Community Legal Centre from 2019 and relocated in 2021 to support the establishment of a new community legal centre in Mount Isa.
More recently she moved back to Gladstone to be closer to family and friends in the Central Queensland area and joined the V.A.J. Byrne & Co. Lawyers team practicing predominantly in family law and wills.
